Digital Product
Design
From September to December 2019, I enrolled at Harvard Extension School (HES) with one clear goal. I wanted to learn how to make my vision for Mi Libreta a reality. I took the Harvard course online and worked a nighttime/weekend job at the same time. I learned how to prioritize my responsibilities and received an "A" in the course. Most importantly, after implementing the skills learned from the course, I published MiLibreta.org.
Mi Libreta
Introduction
After working with Spanish-speaking patients, diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes at Boston Medical Center, I set on a path to learn the skills necessary to empower them to lead a healthy lifestyle. Mi Libreta is a project that provides Type 2 diabetes content, in Spanish, via an online digital notebook.
Mi Libreta
Process
While at HES, I first learned the process of design thinking and sprint-based ideation. Afterwards, I learned how to conduct tech-relevant patient interviews. I analyzed the data and refined my design vision for the project. Then, I created several reiterative prototypes of the design. At the end, I published Mi Libreta and made it accessible to all.
Mi Libreta
Final Result
I published MiLibreta.org. It includes information about Type 2 diabetes in Spanish regarding nutrition, medication, foot care, and more. I used Notion and Framer X during this process.
